The Magellan 110, a steel/aluminium ocean-explorer style trideck motoryacht, is the result of the Kingship pulling together the combined talents of Pieter Beeldsnijder of Dutch studio PB Design for the exterior styling, Holland’s Vripack for naval architecture and engineering, and Miami, Florida-based Luiz de Basto for the interior design. The first Magellan 110 was the same but for a 1.5m-shorter sky-lounge; she launched at Kingship’s Chinese yard in ‘07.
Power by two 3406E DITA Caterpillars, the second Magellan can make 14 knots with a range of 5,000nm. Accommodation comprises a spacious master cabin on the main deck and foru guest cabins on the lower deck. She is also built to Lloyd’s +100 A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 +LMC and MCA compliance.
