Previously referred to as ‘Project J24’, she was pulled by tug from her fit-out shed ahead of schedule on April 8; the official handover is summer 2010.

Lürssen’s original 60m (197ft) motoryacht Phoenix was launched in 2004. Her owner was sufficiently with her to commission the same team once again — Andrew Winch Designs, Moran Yacht & Ship and the same German shipyard group. As her new name Pheonix² implies, this one has been ‘squared’ in both her complexity and size.
Beyond some beautifully balanced lines, her exterior sports no fewer than 100m (330ft) of polished scuplted stainless steel handrails.
Her interior is said to have been influenced by 1930s New York. Indeed, her owner’s have a full-beam ‘Deco Duplex’ apartment aboard, the two decks of which are connected via a private staircase.
