Perini Navi launches ‘Fivea’...

Recent Launches

This 45m sloop is the 48th in the yard’s super-sailer fleet and the third of the ‘45m Series’, designed by Ron Holland and the in-house design and engineering department.

APRIL 2010

The private launching ceremony will be held on Sunday April 24 at Perini Navi’s Picchiotti facility.
This one has two main differences to her sisterships ‒ the May ’06-launched Heritage and August ’07 launched Helios: twin Caterpillar C18 ACERTs and a central engine-room; and a more streamlined aluminium superstructure.
Fivea’s Perini Navi-built aluminium mast rises over 51m (167ft) above the waterline and carries a sail area of almost 1,200m² (12,910ft²), handled by seven of Perini Navi’s captive reel winches. The mainsail is on furling boom.
Designed in-house, Fivea’s interior is billed as ‘pure classic’.
Over the next four months the Perini Navi Group has two more launches: one 56m sailing yacht and the first Picchiotti Vitruvius Explorer 50m motoryacht.
