'Lionheart' is afloat at last...

Recent Launches

And the all-new Hoek-drawn ‘Super-J’ is available.

JUNE 2010

The brand new J Class has launched at Dutch yard Claasen Jachtbouw in Zaandam, but she’s for sale via Yachting Partners International and the Hoek Brokerage. The asking price is €14.9m.
SY Lionheart is the first of a new breed of aluminium J-Class yachts drawn by Hoek Design in The Netherlands. She is not a recreation of an original design, but a homage to the big-boat racers of the 1930s. Indeed she is bigger than all of them. Just look at those 17m (55ft 9in) worth of stem and counter overhangs, quite fantastic for a yacht of 43.4m (142ft) LOA.
The modern spec treatment is also there to ensure she's fast – note the Hall carbon spars and PBO rigging and the Harken winches are carbon too!
But she has been designed for cruising as well as racing and was, therefore, built to properly accommodate eight guests in four cabins and so complies to MCA rules.
