JULY 2010

Dutch yard Jongert is presently sea-trialling in the Ijsselmeer and the North Sea the 210GT Lucia-M, the first Jongert 3900MY. ‘Executing a ‘Williamson’ turn at a speed of 29 knots is easy,” says the yard’s trial captain. “Even at that speed you are always in full control. After a ‘crash-stop’ at 29 knots she stops within three ships lengths... At rest if the propellers are set to counter-rotate, she pivots about her own axis without the help of her bow and sternthrusters... The VT Naiad trim/stabilization system functions very well too.’
MY Lucia-M is the first motor yacht of these dimensions ever built by Jongert. She is the owner’s fifth motoryacht and he's letting her display at the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show.
