Palmer Johnson’s first UK-built motoryacht...

Recent Launches

She went into the water on July 13 at Palmer Johnson UK, which is located at Hythe Marine Park/Solent Refit facility on Southampton Water. She was moved from shed using the yard's hydraulic computer-controlled Alladays transporter. For the next few weeks PJ170-01 will undergo her seatrials in the Solent before heading for her first season in the Mediterranean in early August.

JULY 2010

Known as both hull number 'PJ-501' and 'PJ170-01', this 52.2m (171ft) is soon to hand over to a repeat client that previously had the PJ120-03 DB9 (ex-Khalila) that launched in '05. She’s got two larger Seakeeper gyro-stabilizers.
“This significant launch certainly cements Palmer Johnson’s ‘Sports Yacht’ concept by passing the 50m (164ft) benchmark,” says company president Mike Kelsey. “We’ve come a long way since the first of our Nuvolari-Lenard-designed Sports Yacht model in ’04." The first one was PJ120-01 Cover Drive.
Palmer Johnson work in progress includes two more PJ170s, two PJ210s that deliver next year too, plus a PJ135, and the 82m (269ft) expedition yacht PJ World, which is presently 'on stop' in Norway.
