SY ‘Imagine’ sailing ‒ and sailing fast!

Recent Launches

The latest launch from Alloy Yachts in Auckland, New Zealand has completed her sea-trials.

The 260-tonne 44.18m (145ft) Dubois-drawn sloop is the second yacht the Auckland, New Zealand-based yard has built for the same owners. The first Imagine delivered in ’93.
The owner's close affiliation with America’s Cup, Volvo and TP52 racing has meant a lot of raceboat technology has found its way aboard this sailing superyacht. For instance, she's got a composite centreboard, a custom-built helm feedback system and semi-balanced composite blade rudder.
As for rig, Imagine sports a 58.5m (192ft) state-of-the-art Southern Spars five spreader mast, an 18.6m (61ft) hybrid Leisure-Furl boom and EC6 hybrid rigging, complete with a split-continuous backstay. She will also sport North 3DL sails and a Code Zero arrangement more normal for an America’s Cupper. She's going to fly on the big-boat circuit!
