ISA launches ‘Liberty’...

Recent Launches

She’s the first of three steel/aluminium 50m motoryachts in-build at the Ancona yard.

MARCH 2011

Saturday, March 19, saw ISA launch Liberty, AKA ‘500.1’ at its Ancona, Italy yard.
She is the first in a series of three new 50m (164ft) displacement yachts in build there. All three share the same technical platform, but differ in their superstructure and transom design. Huge volumes, great performance and low consumption are the main features of this platform.
Andrea Vallicelli, in collaboration with ISA's in-house naval architects, styled Liberty’s exterior. Note the dark metallic-grey hull and the white superstructure make for a powerful profile.
The interior design was handled by Stefania Biondo dalla Casapiccola. Each living space has been sea-creature themed; every room is named after a turtle, seahorse, shark, shrimp, starfish, coral etc... A large picture of the species is the focal point of each cabin and the materials used in each reflects the subject.
Powered by two 1,850kW (2,480hp) MTU 12V4000s, Liberty has a 16.8-knot maximum speed and a range od 2,200nm at 14 knots.
MY Liberty is scheduled for delivery in May 2011.
