Benetti's ‘Diamonds are Forever’...

Recent Launches

She’s a 61m full-displacement motoryacht driven by twin Schottel propulsors.

Azimut-Benetti’s Benetti division has launched MY Diamonds are Forever, previously known as build number FB253, for American commissioning owner John Staluppi, who over the years has been responsible for many other superyachts with Bond film names. Now available for charter during the Caribbean and Mediterranean seasons, this 61m (200ft) steel/aluminium motoryacht was given a suitably Bond-inspired christening party at the builder’s Livorno, Italy yard on Saturday, November 26.
MY Diamonds are Forever accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins – four on the lower deck, a split-level VIP suite forward on the main deck, and the owners suite forward on the upper deck.
Her interior design was the responsibility of London-based Evan K Marshall, who has worked with the Staluppi family on several previous yachts. This scheme features Italian marbles, onyx, Madrona burlwood, gold leaf, mother of pearl and Marieux crystals.
Interestingly Diamonds Are Forever is pushed powered by Schottel propulsors that also delivers a dynamic-positioning capability. They provide a maximum speed of 16 knots, a maximum cruising speed of 15 knots and a trans-ocean range of some 4,800nm at a more sedate 12 knots.
She was project managed by Nicola Nicolai.
