DECEMBER 2011

Tuesday, December 6 saw Benetti’s Viareggio operation launched the latest Stefano Righini-styled Benetti Classic 121. Formerly known as yard number BC127, she is now FF1. This new version of the popular 35-37m (121ft) semi-custom composite motoryacht series has an in-house interior that majors on oak and leather.
The five-cabin layout has the owner’s suite on the main deck, with a study and a dressing room and his-her bathrooms.
There are four cabins on the lower deck ‒ two VIPs and two double guests.
She displaces 259 tonnes at full load and, pushed along by twin 1,080kW MTU 12V2000 M72s, her maximum speed is 15 knots; and the maximum cruise speed is 14 knots at 85 per cent power. At a more modest 11 knots, she has a range of around 3,400nm.
She also has Quantum zero-speed stabilisers.
MY FF1 was hoisted into the water at at the Azimut-Benetti's Lusben yard and is due to hand over in late January/early February.
