This 50m aluminium ketch has an Edge Design Institute-conceived interior scheme.

APRIL 2012

Perini Navi has launched ‘C2173’, the 50m (164ft) aluminium ketch Enterprise. She is the 2nd of the company’s Ron Holland-designed 50m Aluminium Series and the 52nd to join the Perini Navi fleet of sailing yachts. Note that Enterprise’s hull has fold-out transom-cum-beach platform. Her 19ft main tender and beach-cat are housed in a foredeck well. And that her superstructure has been completely redesigned with two large skylights.
Her ketch rig provides over 1,400m² (15,060ft²) of sail area that is controlled via 11 captive-reel winches. The main and mizzen masts that measure 56.7m (186ft) and 43m (141ft) respectively are aluminium, but the furling boom and spreaders are carbonfibre.
Her interior scheme is the work of Hong Kong’s Edge Design Institute.
SY Enterprise is scheduled for a May '12 handover.
