Vicem’s first Vulcan 46 launches in Antalya...

Recent Launches

She will be at Monaco ‘12.

JUNE 2012

Antalya, Turkey-based Vicem Yachts has launched its first semi-displacement 25-knot 460-tonnes 46m (151ft) Vulcan 46 motoryacht, which has a 4,000nm range at 12 knots. Pushed along by twin 3,650hp MTUs and RINA classified and MCA Long Range compliant, she will be on show at Monaco ’12 at the end of September. This first Vulcan 46 was built on spec, but sold by Fraser Yachts in May '12. The asking price was €20.7 million.
And if the launch of the first 46m was not enough, the yard launched its first trideck Vulcan 35m earlier this year and launches its first raised-pilothouse Vulcan 32m later this year too.
Traditionally a builder of cold-moulded motorcruisers and motoryachts, Vicem’s Vulcan series of motoryachts marks a major departure for the company, says Sebahattin Hafizoglu, Vicem Yachts’ founder and president. All designed by Dutch yacht designer Frank Mulder, the Vulcan Series models are not only Vicem’s first real superyachts, but also they are the first to be constructed in composites – mostly epoxy/core-cell sandwiches.
This first Vulcan 46 has a Art-Line interior.
