Big flybridge and triple surface drives for the new Pershing 108...

Capable of being pushed along at up to a maximum speed of 42 knots, the first of these new 33m (108ft) sports-fly yachts will launch in 2010. She's the first real flybridge design from the Mondolfo, Italy-based yard.

JULY 2009

The triple 1,815kW MTU and Arneson surface drive combination is not just about delivering blistering performance, however. A key reason for the configuration is operational efficiency and economy. For instance, using just the outer engines, she could cruise at a very respectable 20-25 knots and do so more efficiently than she would using less revs on all three. Or she could cruise for in excess of 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots using just the middle engine and do so incredibly quietly; an attractive option, say, for overnight navigation between cruising grounds with guests sleeping aboard.
She was styled by Fulvio de Simone and his Ital Design studio, which worked in close association with the yard's own team led by Pershing founder and president Tilli Antonelli. And as usual the detail design and engineering was handled by the Ferretti Group's centralized design and engineering team AYT in Forli.
As for outdoor amenities, she’s got a substantial flying bridge, a large lounge area on the foredeck and a substantial aft deck.
Like the Pershing 80 which launched last year, a key feature of this design is the aft-deck door glazing that opens up the main saloon and aft deck completely to deliver something like 21.3m (70ft) of uninterrupted space.
Her interior is mostly canaletto walnut with furniture by Poltrona Frau and a galley by ErnestoMeda.
The owner’s cabin is aft and occupies an area approaching 37 square-metres (400 square-feet), including massive bathroom and the option of separate study or dressing area.
Then there another two doubles and a twin-bed cabin.
