Kha Shing and Ward Setzer co-operation...

The Kaohsiung, Taiwan-based yard, which contract builds Hargrave and Trader motoryachts, has commissioned the Cary, North Carolina-based yacht design studio to develop a new line of Sports Yachts for its Monte Fino brand.

Up until now the Monte Fino range has been targeted predominately at the conservative flybridge motorcruiser market, but the new line is aimed at a younger, more sporty demographic. Thus far 19m (62ft) and 34m (112ft) MF Sports Yacht designs have been revealed.
The all-new MF62 Sport Yacht is certainly very pretty. She offers maximum speed potential of around 35 knots with various Zeus or IPS drive options. With a beam of 5.3m (17ft 5in) and a relatively shallow draft of 1.1m (3ft 7in), the vessel will still hold 3,800 litres (1,000 US gals) of fuel.
She provides three cabins below, one of which is a full-beam master. The galley is half a level below the main deck and includes the salon and pilot area under a retracting sunroof. The aft deck includes a sunning pad and dining areas and access to a crew lounge and cabin below.
The bathing platform is accessible from either side and lifts to reveal a tender garage positioned above the engine space.
A flybridge version will be offered as well.
The all-new MF112 Sport Yacht provides a full-beam master suite and three guest cabin below, plus crew cabins and mess aft of the engine space. A galley and open lounge are forward on the main deck and a generous salon and dining area are aft of the pilothouse central zone. An oversized main aft deck is an important feature of the design with its large dining area, bar and sunning lounge.
The flybridge is multi-level and includes seating, bar, grill and spa-pool.
With a beam of 6.9m (22ft 6in) and a draft of 1.9m (6ft 3in), this hull form will hold ample fuel stores for extended cruising and yield top speeds from 18-26 knots depending on selected powering options.
Kha Shing Enterprises has two site in the Kaohsiung area. Beyond the Monte Fino models, it also contract builds the Hargrave and Trader motoryachts ranges.
