Design

The Dutch yacht designer believes his latest concept is the first power-cat to not only look good in profile but also from other angles.

OCTOBER 2009

Depending on propulsion choices, she should be good for anything from 14-25 knots and those speeds, we’re told, will be delivered, thanks to some clever naval architecture, without the energy-sapping ‘humps’ provided by most similar hull forms. However, the designer says he can also deliver planing performance with a few ‘tweaks’ should an owner be more interested in top end speed than cruising comfort.
Hybrid propulsion options have also been worked up to give the design ‘green’ credentials.
