The UK150 concept...

Design

The Italian companies Kelly Yachts and UKI Design have worked up the design of an intersting 150ft super-sloop project. The former handled the naval architecture and the latter the exterior and interior styling proposals.

NOVEMBER 2009

Laminated using prepreg carbon, the 46m (150ft) would have an overall displacement of around 135 tons (297,000lbs).
A lift keel and twin rudders would take into shoal waters.
The external and internal lay out are inspired by a concept of maximum flexibility, thus giving the best costumer solution on the basis of a model that can be produced on small series.
Three very different interior schemes are proposed – a central owners’ cabin, aft owners’ cabin and forward owners’ cabin.
