Ghost Yachts’ innovative G180...

Design

For its first semi-custom motoryacht concept, this new Dutch company has drawn on the combined talents of Gloss Design in Italy and naval architecture specialist Van Oossanen & Associates in Holland.

DECEMBER 2009

This 55m (180ft) 180' has a 9.1m (30ft) beam and a underwater hull profile that will deliver semi-displacement speeds up to 20 knots.
The distinctive bow treatment not only delivers improved seakeeping capabilities, but also larger interior volume in the forward end of hull. The extra space means larger crew accommodations and tender storage on the main deck that can take up to a 8.5m (27ft 11in) guest tender as well as 6m (20ft) crew tender.
The preliminary layout suggests an owners' stateroom on the upper deck Then there are further guest cabins forward on the main deck and two VIP suites on the lower deck that have their own private lounges.
Pre-production engineering of the G180 will be completed by the end of 2010.
