Alloy Yachts’ ‘AY43’...

Construction has started at the Auckland, New Zealand-located yard on a 47m Dubois-designed raised-pilothouse motoryacht with a Starkey-styled interior.

MAY 2010

Soon after SY Kokomo (AY39) vacated Alloy Yachts’ ‘Bay 6’, work began there on AY43, a 47m (154ft) raised-pilothouse motoryacht.
An interesting feature will be her enclosed flybridge, where the side windows can be raised and lowered.
She’s being built to Lloyd’s 100 A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 MCH (<500GT) and LY2. Her cruising speed will be 14.5 knots.
“This is the third Alloy Yachts-built motoryacht our client has owned and we will again enjoy working with the owner to create a beautiful vessel which exceeds expectations” says yard managing director, Tony Hambrook.
AY43, is scheduled to be delivered in early 2012. The yacht’s homeport will be the Bahamas, hence her relatively shallow draft of just 2.2m (7ft 3in).
