The Strand Craft 122...

Complete with supercar tender!

JUNE 2010

Swedish company Strand Craft, in association with Gray Design, is developing a 37m (122ft) express cruiser, whose lines are based on a supercar drawn by the same designer. There’s something in there that’s suggestive of architeuthis (giant squid) about the profile, particularly in plan.
As for performance, the proposal offers up to 43 knots – delivered by twin 4,610hp (kW) 16V4000 MTUs and Rolls-Royce KaMeWa waterjets – but the possibility of up to 55 knots when that powertrain is boosted by a Vericor TF50 gas-turbine and Rolls-Royce KaMeWa boost jet.
The concept is being proposed initially with an art deco-influenced interior.
The supercar tender proposition is another story – but for those interested we’re talking carbon construction and an 880hp twin-turbo V12 delivering a max speed of 375kmph (233mph).
