Riva’s new 63 Virtus...

Design

With an LOA of 64ft 6in, she will be one of the world’s largest open models.

SEPTEMBER 2011

Ferretti Group company Riva is busy building the first example of its new 63 Virtus model. She will be one of the biggest open models on the market when she launches early next year. Power comes from two 1,360hp MAN diesels, which will give her a cruising speed of 35 knots (40mph). With those, she will be able to maintain that speed for over seven hours, meaning a possible range of 270nm. The engines are mounted close to the transom too, which maximises space below decks for a big saloon, galley and three cabins, all thanks to V-drive gearboxes.
