UK yard Northshore builds the Southerly range of 32-67ft (9.8-20.4m) swing-keel cruising yachts. It claims it can build up to 60 yachts a year. It presently employs about 160, spread across its two production sites ‒ the main one in Chichester, West Sussex, and the moulding shop in Havant.
Its new centre-cockpit and twin-ruddered Rob Humphreys-designed Southerly 420, certified CE Category ‘A’ Ocean, will be shown first at London ’12.
