Van Dam Nordia delivers PC70 No2...

Industry News

The Dutch yard has certainly done well with this semi-custom ‘performance cruiser’ platform.

The first one, the metallic-orange Marmalade of Manchester, launched last year. This second splashed earlier this summer. And a third is under construction for a 2010 delivery.
No2 sports a smart metallic paint job - blue (Pacific Midnight) hull and a silver (Moon Glow) superstructure.
Down below, her interior makes use of light maple panels with walnut borders.
Beyond the main saloon and galley, she provides a four-cabin layout; the full-beam owners’ cabin is aft.
As for work in progress, Van Dam Nordia has already started construction of a third PC70, which will deliver for summer 2010. There is also a Nordia 82 staysail-schooner project in hand.
The family yard located in Aarlsmeer is now under the stewardship of former sales and marketing director Jacco Jongkind. He took over as managing director following the sudden death last year of his father-in-law, Robert van Dam.
