Industry News

Fit-out of this 87.47m will take until early 2011. She is one of four 85m-plus superyachts that this operation presently has at various stages of construction.

Saturday 21 November saw the load-in of yet another Oceanco into tha yard's massive hall in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands. The Y707 is one of four projects larger than 85m (279ft) that the operation presently has at various stages of construction.
Built to the most rigorous standards, Y707’s completed hull was transported to Oceanco’s yard from its nearby hull manufacturer on Friday 20 November. Her hull was then joined to her superstructure and maneuvered into the shed the following day. All technical spaces are painted and ready for the installation of equipment; the acoustic, thermal and fire protection insulation is already in place; and the hull itself is fully sandblasted and sprayed.
With an LOA of 87.47m (287ft), Y707 has been designed by Sam Sorgiovanni and will be pushed along by MTU 20V4000 diesels.
She hands over in 2011.
