Delta Marine finishing off 'Project Monarch'...

Industry News

This bulbous-bowed 46m composite motoryacht was started by the Northern Marine.

JUNE 2010

She is being finished off at the Delta Marine yard, which is on an 18-acre site close to the Boeing Field private aviation strip and just 10 minute drive from ‘Downtown Seattle’, which of course is in Washington State, USA. The project is being funded by Nashville, Tennessee-based Cat Financial, part of Caterpillar Inc. She started out at Northern Marine’s Anacortes plant.
Seattle, Washington-based Jonathan Quinn Barnett was responsible for her exterior styling and the modern-spin-on-traditional-theme interior design.
The flared hull design has a hard chine to deflect spray and a bulbous bow to boost performance and economy. And that high sheer line allows a full-beam arrangement on the main deck forward of amidships.
Propulsion is down to twin Cat 3512B diesels. She will capable of up to 21 knots and the range at 12 knots will be in excess of 2,500nm.
She is ABS and MCA certified and comes in under the 500GT rule.
Her LOA is 46m (151ft) and the maximum beam is 9.7m (31ft 9in).
