Amels has sold its first Limited Editions 199...

Industry News

She is being built for a repeat client and delivers in ‘13. This Vlissingen, The Netherlands-based yard is presently thriving.

MARCH 2011

The hull of this first Limited Editions 199 is already well underway. She is being built for a repeat client and will be delivered in 2013.
Her owner has specified a number of areas to be customised. For instance, there will be an enclosed lounge on the sun deck, two main-deck folding balconies on either side by the main dining room, a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck, and a central staircase that connects all levels from the lower deck up to the sun deck. Tim Heywood drew the 199's striking exterior and Laura Sessa has been commissioned to handle the interior design of this first one.
The project is being managed in cooperation with Imperial Yachts, which is also working with Amels on a Limited Editions 177 currently under construction.
Certainly Amels’ Vlissingen facility is thriving just now. It presently has 12 yachts at various stages across its 177, 180, 199 and 212 platforms; five were sold during the past five months – two 177s, two 180s and now this 199. And a Limited Editions 242 design is being worked up.
