Ferretti Group CEO Salvatore Basile dies suddenly...

He was 58.

MARCH 2011

Ferretti Group CEO Salvatore Basile suddenly passed away on Sunday, March 27, after suffering a massive heart attack. He was only 58.
The statement issued on Monday morning, March 28, conveys the company’s shock and loss:
‘The entire Ferretti Group team, chairman Norberto Ferretti, the board of directors and the executive committee, are all deeply shaken by his sudden death and share his wife and family’s sorrow. He will always be remembered for the great love he had for his work, his strategic vision and strong, sensitive personality, qualities he managed to convey instantly to all group employees with enthusiasm, motivation and strength.’
Salvatore Basile began his career in the late ‘70s working for CM-Carlo Miazzo; he went on to roles of increasing responsibility in the groups ZF, Saeco, Demm, De Longhi and Baxi. In 2009 he was appointed CEO of the Ferretti Group, where he managed its post-financial-crisis restructuring.
