Riviera Marine CEO steps down...

John Anderson says he’s retiring early and returning to the USA for family reasons.

John Anderson, the CEO of Riviera Marine in Australia, is stepping down at the end of August and returning to the USA. The American former Four Winns president has been with the Coomera, Queensland-based motorcruiser builder for four and a half years and has helped consolidate the company's operations with the support of Deloitte. He cites a recent 60th birthday and family commitments for his early retirement.
“Timing for any such decision is never perfect, but I truly believe that I can leave Riviera confident that the senior-management team supported by Deloitte can continue to drive the business forward and achieve the goals we have set,” he says. “We have just completed the Sydney International Boat Show earlier this month and it was truly gratifying to see the results of a real team effort. We sold 11 new boats at the show and received very positive feedback to our latest new model, the Riviera 53 Flybridge.”
Employing around 400, Riviera Marine’s portfolio includes 20 different models from 11-26m (36-85ft) across four model series: Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and Motor Yachts.
