Icon Yachts launches 'Project Sunbeam’...

Yard Updates

This composite motoryacht, whose real name will remain a secret until her official launch ceremony, was started at a now-closed yard in Germany, but was completed by the Dutch yard.

APRIL 2011

The most recent launch at the Icon Yachts yard is this 43m (141ft) semi-displacement motoryacht, known during her build as Project Sunbeam'. Her build began at Kaiserwerft in Germany as a stretched sister to the '06-launched 'Baron 133' Catwalk and '07-launched Cloud 9 but, following the yard’s bankruptcy, she was moved part-built to Icon's Harlingen, Holand, facility for completion. The exterior styling was by Grischa Schmidt in Switzerland.
The client’s representative is Mega Marine.
