Perini Navi signs two new '60m Series' super-sailers...

One’s will be a ketch and the other a sloop. Together the contracts are worth around €70 million.

The Perini Navi Group has launched a new 60m Series sailing yachts and has already signed two sales contracts for a total value in excess of €70 million. The two – C2193 is a ketch and C2218 a sloop – will be delivered in ’13 and ‘14 respectively. The new line is an evolution of the Italian builder’s highly successful 56m Series, of which 10 examples have been sold to date.
The Perini Navi Group’s order book is presently worth around €140 million and includes seven boats, five sail and two power. The sailing yachts include a 40m (131ft), a 45m (148ft), a 50m (164ft) and the two most recently signed 60m (197ft) projects. The motoryachts are the 55m (180ft) Picchiotti/Vitruvius and 73m (239ft) Picchiotti/Vitruvius.
The Perini Navi Group closed its 2010 fiscal year at €102.4 million, up 10.6 per cent over ‘09. Its EBITDA for the period was €13.1 million and its EBIT stood at €7.7 million. During ’10 the operation delivered three sailing yachts – the 45m (148ft) sloop Fivea and the 56m (184ft) ketches Panthalassa and Melek – and the 50m (164ft) Picchiotti/Vitruvius Exuma.
This year will see three group launches, two sail and one power. On the sail side there is the 10th 56m (184ft) and the third 45m (148ft). Then there is the second Picchiotti/Vitruvius motoryacht, the 55m (180ft) C2156.
