Yard Updates

The UK builder has acquired the freehold for its new ‘South Yard’ superyacht facility that presently sits with the Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth.

Princess Yachts International has secured the freehold for its South Yard superyacht site at the Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth from the UK’s Ministry of Defence. It has been on site working on its new 100ft-plus projects – the new flybridge 32M, the first of which was shown at London ‘11 and the 40M, the fierst pof which launches in ‘12 – for the past 12 months as a tenant, but now it owns the site outright – a much cleaner solution for the LVMH-owned business.
If commissioned the new production site will be fully operational by 2012/2013.

Princess Yachts International employs just under 2,000 people directly.
